BMW is on top of the luxury segment in the US, but it is head to head with Mercedes
Always tight challenge between BMW and Mercedes for the leadership in the American premium segment, with Lexus ready to enter in the competition.
In October, BMW sold 29,439 units (-3.8%) compared to 28,952 for Mercedes (up 1.3%) and 26,436 for Lexus (+ 13%).
The duel is even more exciting considering the first ten months. From January to October, the Bavarian carmaker has gained 4.6% to 279,395 units, just 553 more than Mercedes, while Lexus is close to 273,881 cars.
