Dodge Viper ACR, pure adrenaline from 645 hp
Orders in US officially opens today for the Dodge Viper ACR (which stands for American Club Racer), a track version of a super sport car, but also homologated for the road to become the fastest road Viper ever.
It is equipped with the latest Viper engine, a V10 of 8.4 liters able to unleash a power of 645 hp and develop a pair of 812 Nm for a maximum speed of about 285 km/h (manual transmission with six speeds).
Among the technical features, an Extreme Aero package is able to provide a very high load and constituted by hood processed, 4 front appendages at the sides, diffuser in carbon fiber and extension of the front splitter removable.
Dodge also beefed up the existing Viper’s Brembo brakes. It will go into production in the third quarter of 2015.
