DriveNow: in 10 years 1 trip on 3 in shared mobility
According to recent studies by Frost and Sullivan and Boston Consulting Group, by 2025, users of car sharing services will have risen to as many as 36 million.
In short, a trip in three could be carried out in shared mobility within ten years. This scenario is also confirmed by the DriveNow car sharing operator, now all owned by the BMW Group.
"Only in Germany - said the managing director of DriveNow Italy, Andrea Leverano - about 90 million km were covered by DriveNow vehicles last year and in Italy, in the city of Milan, in 2017 only our 500 shared cars have traveled for about 6 million km generating savings of over 2 million km otherwise traveled on private car ".
Almost one in four Milanese citizen has now registered for a car sharing service.
