GM plans 1.4 billion dollars expansion at its Texas SUV plant
General Motors will invest 1.4 billion dollars at its plant in Arlington, Texas, specialized in the production of large-size SUV. GM said it will reconfigure the factory, including the addition of a new paint shop and new body shop.
The project is under a wider investment program of 5.6 billion dollars that the Group will allocate to its American factories. The Arlington plant currently manufactures the Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban, Cadillac Escalade and GMC Yukon and Yukon XL.
