Honda starts Indiana production of new Insight
Honda started production of the third generation of Insight at the American plant in Greensburg, Indiana.
The factory is the global production site of the car and serves virtually all the models that the Japanese company distributes in North America, including Civic and CR-V.
Insight is a hybrid car, whose powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter petrol engine and an electric powertrain (system power of 154 hp) is assembled at the Honda engine plant of Anna, Ohio, while the batteries are assembled at the plant in Marysville, always Ohio.
The new Insight will reach the American Honda dealerships during the summer.
