Hyundai: 3 million units exported in the Middle East
Hyundai announced that its cumulative shipments to the Middle East passed the 3-million mark. To celebrate the prestigious milestone, the Korean carmaker is set to launch an aggressive campaign with the aim of consolidating its sales volumes in the region.
Involved in particular the Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Kuwait markets. Hyundai stepped into the Middle East market first in 1976 when it shipped 40 units of Pony to Bahrain.
The 3 millionth Hyundai car in the Middle East was a Genesis. The previous milestones reached by Hyundai in the region were cut in 2008 with the first millionth unit and in 2012 with 2 millions.
In other words, Hyundai has exported 2 million vehicles in the Middle East in just seven years. Tucson, Santa Fe and Genesis are the models more exported.
