Jaguar to end production of its XK sportscar this summer
Jaguar has announced that it will end production of its XK sportscar this summer, completing the take-over of the F-Type (Coupe and Convertible models) that will fill the gap left by the XK.
On the other hand, sales of the XK have dropped dramatically since the launch of the F-Type, despite the launch of several special editions such as the XKR-S and XKR-S GT.
Jaguar isn't in a hurry to replace the XK. Instead the company will divert its attention to the soon-to-come entry-level XE saloon which will go head to head with the BMW's 3-Series.
Following the XE, Jaguar has already announced plans of entering the SUV market, and even showcased its C-X17 concept.
