Lamborghini Urus SUV will be built in Slovakia
According to some sources gathered by Automobilwoche, the Lamborghini Urus SUV will be built at VW Group’s factory in Bratislava (Slovakia) starting in 2017. Few days ago, the President of Audi, Rupert Stadler, had spoken of a production start in 2018.
The Lamborghini Urus will be built at the Bratislava plant alongside the Porsche Cayenne, VW Touareg, Audi Q7, and bodies of the forthcoming Bentley SUV.
The vehicle will be based on a modified version of the VW Group’s MLB platform that will also underpin the next-generation Porsche Cayenne, and will allow the Italian carmaker to beat all its previous sales record.
