Mazda will meet emission standards
Mazda is preparing the development of a revolutionary engine. It is a petrol engine using diesel technology. The new motor, known as SkyActiv 2, will employ HCCI (Homogenous Charge Compression Ignition), thanks to which Mazda promises a fuel saving of 30% compared to a conventional petrol motor.
The top management of the Japanese carmaker said they are confident that with this new engine the vehicles will satisfy the new stringent European carbon emissions standard of 95 grams of CO2 emissions per kilometre (g/km) for 2020.
