Mercedes plans to offer plug-in hybrid technology push
In the field of alternative power, Mercedes is planning to offer more plug-in hybrids than electric vehicles in its lineup, reports Autocar.
This was coonfirmed by Thomas Weber, Daimler board of management member responsible for Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development.
The automaker plans to focus on offering plug-in hybrid technology on bigger cars in its line-up, using vehicles based upon its Mercedes Rear-Wheel Architecture (MRA) platform.
Among the models that will benefit of the plug-in technology, there will certainly be the S-Class and the C-Class, and there is also the possibility for other models.
