Mercedes will launch the B-Class F-Cell in 2017
Mercedes Benz has confirmed that it will launch in 2017 the new fuel cell-powered B-Class F-Cell. He did so on the occasion of the delivery of a copy of the hydrogen car to Winfried Kretschmann, the Governor of the State of Baden-Württemberg, who will use the new car for its institutional commitments.
The electric power driving of the B-Class F-Cell is generated directly on board in the fuel cell stack by a reaction between the oxygen in the air and the hydrogen. It produces only pure water vapour and the reservoir provides 400 km of autonomy. About 300 B-Class F-Cell are already circulating in Europe and the USA, entrusted to selected customers.
