The president of the local division of the Japanese carmaker, Yoshiaki Kato, anticipated the Mitsubishi aim to double production in the emerging market of the Philippines in the course of 2017 to about 40,000 units.

The brand will use in particular a program of incentives for the purchase launched by the Manila government.

To support Mitsubishi production trend in the Philippines it will be especially the Mirage world car in the hatchback and sedan variants.

Mitsubishi operates a plant just south of the capital where it also assembles the Adventure SUV and the L300 van.
