Mitsubishi supplies two special Eclipse Cross to the Carabinieri
Two Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross, specially set up for the institutional service of emergency intervention throughout the country, were delivered yesterday from the Italian headquarters of the Japanese carmaker to the General Command of Rome of the Arma dei Carabinieri.
Mitsubishi and the Arma have chosen Eclipse Cross for the high performance of the 1,500 cc turbo petrol engine and the great safety that the all-wheel drive Super All Wheel Control guarantees in all driving and terrain conditions.
The two Eclipse Cross will initially be based in the Comando Carabinieri of Rome and Milan both for special tasks, such as the transport of organs and blood, and for institutional operational needs such as the protection of the territory.
The collaboration between Mitsubishi and the Arma dei Carabinieri follows other important successes. In the past, Mitsubishi has supplied some models of the iconic off-road vehicle Pajero specifically equipped and armored for use in high-risk areas.
Cars that have been used in major operations and in complex operating theaters such as Afghanistan and Iraq, always showing their great reliability.
