Nissan Serena hybrid also assembled in Malaysia
Nissan has chosen Malaysia as the only global production hub, as well as Japan, of the hybrid variant of the Serena minivan.
The car seems to be projected towards an important commercial success in the emerging South/East Asian market after being already booked by 1,300 local customers few weeks after the opening of the orders.
Nissan aims to sell 500 units per month by the end of the year of the Serena Hybrid, taking advantage of the distribution that belongs to the partner Edaran Tan Chong Motor.
The seven-seater is among the most popular category models in the Rising Sun country with over 33 thousand units sold since the beginning of the year.
