Production of Acura RDX at Honda USA plant is under way
The American Honda factory in East Liberty, Ohio, has started production of the renewed Acura RDV SUV.
To adapt the factory to the debut of the Model Year 2019 of the five-seat premium SUV, the Japanese company has invested an additional 54 million dollars in realizing new, faster and more qualitative technologies and assembly processes.
The Acura RDX is powered by the 2 liter VTtec turbo engine, built in the nearby Anna, Ohio factory, combined with a ten-speed automatic transmission assembled at the Tallapoosa, Georgia plant.
It is the first RDX developed and designed exclusively in America thanks to the Acura Design Studio in Los Angeles and the North American R & D center in Raymond, Ohio.
