PSA Group will assemble Peugeot 301 in Kazakhstan
The PSA Group have signed an agreement with the local AllurGroup to build Peugeot cars in Kazakhstan starting in 2016.
The Kazakh auto market has experienced strong growth in the past few years. The market is expected to reach 200,000 units next year, more than tripling from 45,000 units in 2011 to 166,000 units in 2013.
The 301 will be produced at the SaryarkaAvtoProm plant in Kostanay, owned by AllurGroup. Starting 2017, average production volume will be around 12,000 units per year with a possibility to extend up to 5,000.
