PSA Russia: parts localization at 50%
Peugeot Citroën Rus aims to increase the localization level at its plant in Kaluga from the current 35% to 50% by the end of next year.
In an interview with the agency Autostat the managing director of brands Peugeot, Citroën and DS in Russia, Alexander Migal, said.
Because of the deep crisis that is affecting the Russian market for some time, until July 31, the Kaluga factory will operate on reduced working time with the aim to prevent mass layoffs and preserve jobs. The plant is managed in a joint venture with Mitsubishi.
