Renault to halt production for 2–3 weeks at its plant in Moscow
The deterioration of the Russian market forces Renault to a drastic measure, at least according to the newspaper Vedomosti.
The French carmaker will halt car production for two to three weeks (from February 16 till March 6) at its Avtoframos plant in Moscow, managed in joint venture with the city of Moscow.
The factory has a potential capacity of 180 thousand units per year. In 2014 Renault assembled at its Russian plant about 150 thousand units of Duster, Logan and Sandero models.
