Renault works on new low-cost vehicles project in India
Renault is hardly working on the development of a a new range of low-cost vehicles for the Indian market with a possible first launch at about 3,500 euros.
The launch of low cost models (in partnership with Nissan) is expected by the spring of next year. Renault has been studying four low-cost models including a sedan, a hatchback, a sport utility vehicle (SUV) and a seven-seat car. Some of these projects are pending the approval of chairman and chief executive Carlos Ghosn.
