Skoda confirms its SUV offensive in China
Skoda will also play a key role in the planned expansion of the Volkswagen Group's SUV range in China.
In about a month, at the Beijing Motor Show, the Czech carmaker will unveil a preview of the new model renamed Kamiq, waiting to launch a coupe-style version of the other Kodiaq SUV by the end of the year.
The two new models will be added to a Skoda SUV offer already articulated on Kodiaq and Karoq.
Also thanks to the contribution of SUVs, especially above all, Skoda will meet its target of increasing sales volumes in China to around 600 thousand units by 2020, almost double compared to the 2017 registrations.
Kamiq for China will be positioned just below Karoq and will challenge Hyundai ix25, Citroën C3-XR and Nissan Kicks.
