Subaru confirms the name Ascent for its new SUV
Subaru has officially confirmed the name Ascent for its new seven-seat SUV that was unveiled in these days at the New York International Auto Show, still in prototype form.
The Japanese carmaker plans to transform the concept into a series production model in early 2018 by launching the car initially in the US market.
Considered the successor of the not exciting Tribeca (in terms of sales volumes), Ascent will be sold in about 60,000 units a year in the States, according to Subaru estimates. The new SUV will be produced at the plant in Lafayette, Indiana.
