Subaru will strengthen its hybrid range and develop a new electric model
Subaru plans to strengthen its hybrid range and to develop a new electric model to become more and more virtuous in terms of eco sustainability.
The plan will be a reality in some time, after completing the current phase of restructuring, focused mainly on increasing sales in the U.S. market and on the expansion of production capacity at its plant in Lafayette, Indiana.
With a planned investment of 400 million dollars, Subaru will create 900 new jobs and production level will rise to about 200 thousand units a year by 2016.
Meanwhile, Subaru is spending a lot on marketing campaign to promote the sixth generation of the Legacy in the U.S. and hopes to increase the sales of the car by 40% in the next 12 months.
