Tesla gigafactory is getting new Panasonic employees
Panasonic is known as an ally of Tesla for its gigafactory in Reno, Nevada, dedicated to the production of lithium-ion battery and awaiting the official start of operations in the course of next year.
The factory is in full construction and the Japanese giant will begin to send hundreds of technicians from autumn to accelerate the pace of assembly.
Panasonic also announced that during the current fiscal year it will invest in the plant another 60 billion yen, approximately 430 million Euro.
The Japanese manufacturer is also to agree with the Spanish Ficossa International for the creation of a joint venture that will focus on the development of advanced driver assistance systems, including blind spot detection and assisted parking.
