Tesla to use 'Te Si La' name in China
A local court has given a green light to Tesla to sell its cars in China under the 'Te Si La' name. The court has finally resolved the trademark dispute arose from the fact that in China there is already a company with a similar name run by a businessman who refused to give up the trademark.
The Californian carmaker began taking reservations for the Model S in China during 2013 and announced that reservations have exceeded their expectations. Tesla believes that China will account for 30-35% of its total global sales.
