Toyota opens first research centre in Latin America
Toyota opened its first advanced research centre in Latin America.
The plant is located in São Bernardo do Campo, in the Greater São Paulo area, the same one where the Japanese manufacturer has produced the Land Cruiser for nearly 40 years.
The Brazilian research center will work closely with similar facilities already operating in Japan and it will focus on production quality, initiating synergies for future projects.
It will also be useful to test models, to check the polluting emissions and to try lightweight materials. For the construction of the centre has been invested 14 million dollars.
