VW Group inaugurated a new engine plant in Russia
Three years after starting its work, the Volkswagen Group has opened a new engine plant in Russia. The factory is located in Kaluga and it will assemble engines for VW and Skoda models with an initial capacity of about 150,000 units per year.
So the German becomes the first foreign manufacturer to manage one engine plant in Russia. Invested 250 million Euro, workforce of 400 people. At the plant VW will produce in the future also the new 1.6 petrol engine.
